Enter the world of hockey at Toronto's Hockey Hall of Fame

Hockey is considered to be the quintessential cold-weather sport, and tourists who visit Toronto during a tour of Canada can learn all about the icy activity when they visit the exciting Hockey Hall of Fame.

This facility actually serves dual roles, acting as both a hall of fame for hockey's most elite players and as a museum teaching visitors all about the history of the sport. The hall of fame includes profiles of more than 247 players from the National Hockey League (NHL), with other displays providing information on builders (people who have contributed to the development of the game) and on-ice officials.

In the museum portion of this attraction, guests can explore 15 different exhibit areas. One of the highlights is the NHL Zone, which features several interactive areas relating to the league, current teams and players, defunct teams from the past, record-setting performances and more. Travelers can even get in on the action, hitting pucks or playing goalkeeper at a pair of exhibits that let them enter the game.

No visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame is complete without entering the Great Hall. Here, people can see the Stanley Cup itself, the championship trophy awarded to the winner of the NHL playoff tournament every year.
