Seychelles is famous for its pristine beaches and splendid isolation. It is an archipelago nation of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, some 1,500 kilometres (930 mi) east of mainland Africa. The capitol city, Victoria, is located on the main island of Mahe. The second largest island, Praslin, is serviced by flights and ferry. Other islands can be reached with local airlines.
