Day 1
Miami Miami is the southernmost of Florida's major cities. A very Latin city with a large Spanish speaking population, the city ranges from spectacular wealth to tough neighbourhoods. The neighbourhood of South Beach is the most popular tourist destination, with its warm sandy beaches, shops and cafes. There are many large malls for shopping, great golf courses, and a selection of museums and sporting events. Nearby Everglades and Fort Lauderdale are both popular sights. The Port of Miami is also the starting point for many Caribbean cruises. Upon confirmation of your trip, you will be sent a package with details of your trip. You will be provided with a pre-departure package which will include all necessary information that you will need for your trip including materials such as vouchers, maps, train tickets (if relevant) etc. Transfer using a local taxi. Please note that this is not included in trip price and is payable locally. Welcome to South Beach! Bring your chicest duds as well as a readiness to indulge in frivolity. Lounge on the beach for a bit, taking in the quintessentially relaxing sight of top-notch surf and sand. South Beach is famously filled with energy, nightlife options, celebrity sightings and beautiful people. During the day, models, vintage cars, Harleys, and rollerbladers of all ages parade past tourists who are relaxing and people watching from one of Ocean Drive's many outdoor cafes. By night, the clubs sizzle. Be a part of it all during your stay at South Beach. With Miami's Neon lined Deco buildings as your backdrop, hit Ocean Drive to dine on a hip patio and watch as the vintage cars cruise the strip with their tops down. Live it up in the heart of Miami's clubbing district along Washington Avenue or take a quick cab around Biscayne Bay to South Beach and stroll along it's bustling boulevard in the heat of the night. People watching is prime in Miami where all walks of life flock for the energy of the ocean scene. Lincoln Road is a haven for pedestrians with a bar will await you every couple of paces with a cool drink. Escape to the Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort which is located on the oceanfront in Miami Beach, and conveniently near the Atlantic Ocean, South Beach and the Port of Miami. Opened in February of 2007, it is the newest Full Service Best Western on Miami Beach. Enjoy spacious, ocean view guest rooms and suites that are 100% non-smoking and feature cable satellite television, refrigerator and free wireless high-speed Internet access. Day 2
Miami The best way to discover South Beach and enjoy the great outdoors is on a bicycle! The celebrated Bike and Roll Art Deco Tour includes it all: architecture, history, culture, beach life, and good times. We start the tour in the heart of South Beach at 10th & Collins in the famous Art Deco district, including a visit to Casa Casuarina (the Versace Mansion). We then continue riding along the beachfront to Lincoln Road Theater and visit the Holocaust Memorial. We’ll also stop at the Botanical Gardens and Bass Art Museum. To stay cool in the Miami heat, we’ll stop for a quick dip at Nikki Beach (optional), and then enjoy some refreshments at Monty’s restaurant/bar at the Miami Beach Marina, a local favorite. The Art Deco tour is an easy ride, filled with fun for all ages and fitness levels. Pass the day at Cocowalk - Miami’s ultimate destination for shopping, dining & entertainment. Built in the 1990's the buildings were carefully designed to blend seamlessly into the surroundings of Coconut Grove, a bayside boating village known for being eclectic, sometimes eccentric and always exciting.

Head to the 85th Street Beach for the best swimming location - since it's free from condos there is more room to spread out both on the beach and in the water. Lummus Park Beach or Glitter Beach is a have for people watching. Keep your eyes peeled for models prepping for photo shoots as it's a common occurance here at Lummus. If you want an untouched, ungroomed, rugged beach head to Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park just at the end of Key Biscayne. Here you will find over a mile of rustic beach, a historic lighthouse and nature trails to explore. With its man-made lagoon, fed naturally by the tidal movement of the adjacent Biscayne Bay, the waters of Matheson Hammock Park Beach are prime for families. Its waters are extremely calm, safe and secluded - perfect for keeing an eye on the kids. Last but not least, head to Haulover Beach which is close to Bal Harbour for Miami's best surfing. This beach is known for conjuring up Miami's biggest swells. Rad. Overnight at Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort. |
