Day 1
Santa Monica Santa Monica is an upscale beachfront city in western Los Angeles County, California, US. Situated on Santa Monica Bay, it is surrounded on three sides by the city of Los Angeles — Pacific Palisades on the northwest, Brentwood on the north, West Los Angeles on the northeast, Mar Vista on the east, and Venice on the southeast. The Census Bureau 2010 population for Santa Monica is 89,736. Santa Monica is named for Saint Monica of Hippo because the area on which the city is now located was first visited by Spaniards on her feast day. Because of its agreeable climate, Santa Monica had become a famed resort town by the early 20th century. The city has experienced a boom since the late 1980s through the revitalization of its downtown core with significant job growth and increased tourism. You will be provided with a pre-departure package which will include all necessary information that you will need for your trip including materials such as vouchers, maps, train tickets (if relevant) etc. Includes car rental for up to 7 consecutive days. Explore L.A. on any of these optional tours: Discover the Farmer's Market and West Third Street on the L.A. Food Tasting Walking Tour where you will enjoy food tastings from a diverse array of cuisines. The Car may be King in L.A., but the best way to discover the city like a local is by foot. There are a number of walking tours available, whether it's the Behind The Scenes Hollywood Tour, Historic Downtown L.A., Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, or the Contemporary Downtown L.A., you will feel like you've really seen L.A.! Love architecture? Try the Architecture Tour of Hollywood or Architecture Tour of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Private tours are also available: the Getty Center and Rodeo Drive blends culture and glamour with a private tour of the Getty Center Museum and then shopping on Rodeo Drive, or try the Studio Tour and Santa Monica Shopping Tour, which includes a private movie studio tour and a shopping tour of Santa Monica! Please let your Sales Advisor know if you are interested in any of these options. The Huntley Santa Monica offers dramatic views of the ocean, city, and the mountains. Day 2
Santa Monica Head out to the beach for your first surfing lesson. Since conditions in California are prime all year round, put on your wetsuit for comfort, and grab your foam surf boards (safest for first timers). With basic physical ability, not only will you be up and riding in your first class, you'll also be able to go out and catch waves on your own! Throughout your surfing classes, your instructor will be with you at all times to guide you through the process of learning to catch and ride your own waves.
Your lesson will be an hour and fourty-five minutes and all equipment will be provided for you. In successive lessons, surfer students learn how to turn, how to read and select waves, techniques to paddle out through the break, how to best maneuver the board, timing, ettiquite, tides and other factors affecting wave quality, and more. The most interesting and popular sight in Venice Beach is the beach, but it's not the surf and sand that take center stage here. It's the lively sidewalk scene. Venice Beach is a place where you'll find artists, palm readers and bikini-clad roller skaters mixing with chanting, saffron-clad Hare Krishnas and wriggling belly dancers. Points of Interest include; • Venice Boardwalk - It's really more of a sidewalk than a "board" walk, but a walk down it is the best way to explore the waterfront scene. You'll pass street performers, skaters, artists, gawkers and vendors selling all kinds of items from incense to sarongs. • Muscle Beach: This is the place where Arnold Schwarzenegger and hosts of other body-builders have "bulked up" in the outdoor weight room. If you'd like to have your day in the sun, you can buy a day pass at the office. • Venice Canals: A few blocks remain out of some 16 miles of manmade waterways that once graced Venice-of-America, founded in 1905 by local developer Abbot Kinney. You can walk along them in the area bordered by Washington, South Venice Blvd., Pacific Ave. and Ocean Ave. Overnight at Huntley Santa Monica . |

Includes continental breakfast and gourmet lunch. Transportation in a luxury Hummer to and from the ocean included. When the sun sets in the City of Angels, the stars come out to play! After meeting your personal guide in the lobby of your hotel, a night ride will take you through West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip and glittering Beverly Hills to experience the exciting Los Angeles nightlife!
