Today you will embark upon an unforgettable gourmet journey as you hop aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train! The Napa Valley Wine Train began as the Napa Valley Railroad Company in 1864 and has continued operating for 102 years, until it became the Napa Valley Wine Train in 1987. The Wine Train offers a three hour, 36-mile wine tour through the United States' premiere wine growing region, leaving from historic Napa and traveling to St. Helena and back.

This exclusive wine tour is your gateway to an exciting world of fine wine, fantastic food and entertainment. Return to the luxury and tradition of railroad dining, when the steward seats you at your table in the Gourmet Dining car. Half your journey will be white linen service in the dining car and the other half will be spent in the velvet comfort of the lounge car. Choose from an excellent seasonal menu, and then enjoy the dish that was prepared to your specifications in the specially designed kitchen cars by nationally known Executive Chef, Kelly Macdonald.

Get ready to enjoy another fantastic day amid the splendor of Napa Valley’s vineyards. Today you will be taken on a tour of four different world-class wineries. Learn about the rich history behind each of these wine growers; see their facilities and witness the wine-making process. If you choose, you may relax and enjoy tasting the fruits of their labor in the comfort of their tasting rooms while enjoying the views of beautifully landscaped grounds.

To complete this extraordinary experience, a catered gourmet picnic lunch will be served at one of the many hidden-gem locations in the valley among vineyard views, garden terraces or wine cellars depending on weather. All throughout the day, you will have many opportunities to take pictures of the majestic scenery, unique artwork, beautiful landscaping, and architecture, so don’t forget your camera!

Take your time and depart Napa Valley at leisure.

After packing up make your way to the rental car drop off centre and return your vehicle.

Trip Terms & Conditions

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
