Day 6 Fort Myers

Take the ferry from Key West to Fort Myers. Duration is approximately 3.5 hours. The ferry is a sleek, clean, modern, air-conditioned high-speed ferry and features sundecks, snack bar, cocktails, and big-screen TVs. Key West is a veritable playground for the outdoors! Consider spending the day doing any of the following optional activities; Parasailing - an exciting way to get a bird's-eye view of the Keys & back country (solo and tandem flights available), Another option is snorkeling. The Key West coral reefs are part of the world's third largest reef system and are located in shallow water – about 30 feet. The seas at the reef are typically calm, crystal clear, and warm. While snorkeling Key West reefs, you will see a fascinating world of colorful fish and coral reef structure – even from the surface. Snorkeling requires only a mask, snorkel, fins and a safety vest, all provided by the boat. Choose from one of the following boat trips: catamaran, traditional sailboat or a private snorkel charter. Scuba diving is the perfect choice for those wanting to go beyond snorkeling but not quite comfortable with the idea of diving - the activity involves snorkeling while you breathe though air tanks on the surface. Consider a full and active day taking in snorkeling the coral reef, sailing, parasailing, jet skis, kayaks and big water toys with breakfast and lunch & beverages. For the more adventurous and experienced, scuba diving is an exciting way to see the waters of Key West. One of the most popular diving spots off Key West is Sand Key where, in 15 to 25 feet of water, you will see rock fingers, elkhorn and staghorn coral, sea turtles, rays and hundreds of varieties of tropical fish. At the nearby Western Dry Rocks, you will be able to dive deeper and see the Aquanaut, a tug sunk in 75 feet of water. Please note: Scuba diving requires certification from an approved facility. Trips are three to four hours in duration and offer you the choice of a two-tank two-reef dive, a double wreck dive or a combo wreck/reef dive.
