Spend time in Portugal's capital city, Lisbon, known as the city set on seven hills, with its cobble-stoned pavements and narrow streets full of Art Nouveau cafes. The charm of Lisbon exists in its strong links to the past which includes some of the best known voyages of discovery (including Columbus' maiden voyage to discover the Americas). Its renovated palaces, magnificent churches and impressive castle mirror the city's rich cultural heritage and make for a great city break, while its eclectic blend of neighborhoods, culture and architecture distinguish this capital city uniquely from the other European capitals and make it a truly fascinating and comprehensive city to visit. Enjoy guided tours of the various places of interest in the city as well as in the environs such as Fatima, an important point of pilgrimage for the Roman Catholic religion, typical fisherman's villages, and Unesco heritage sites such as the Monastery of the Dominicans of Batalha and Sintra, known as "Lord Byron's Glorious Eden" to name but a few.

Day 1
Lisbon Lisbon once held its own with the super powers, as one of the greatest players in the discovery of the New World, and the city still remembers these glories with pride. Buildings such as the Jerónimos and the Torre de Belém not only display the vast amounts of wealth the city could once command, but are also feature a unique Portuguese architectural style born of the great days of empire. Private Airport transfer with your own vehicle and Portuguese speaking Driver. Spreading out along the right bank of the Tagus, and known as the Baixa, the downtown area of Lisbon is located in the 18th-century area around Rossio. East of the arcade Praça do Comércio, are the medieval quarters of Alfama and Mouraria, crowned by the magnificent St. George's Castle. To the west lie Bairro Alto and Madragoa, with their typical streets, and on the western extreme is Belém, with its Belém Tower, (the sentinel over the Tagus river that protects the entrance into Lisbon), the Jerónimos Monastery (masterpieces of Manueline architecture and classified in UNESCO's International Heritage list) and the Cultural Center of Belém. A welcome package with your vouchers, a city map, train tickets (if relevant) and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip. The Lisbon City Hotel (3*) is the newest urban design hotel in Lisbon. It is within easy walking distance of Lisbon downtown and just five minutes from Lisbon International Airport. Lively Praça Dom Pedro IV Square is 15 minutes’ walk away. With a privileged location, in the historical part of the city and an underground station at the doorstep, you are within touching distance of the Praça Dom Pedro IV, a famous square with many cafes, where you can experience the lively atmosphere of Lisbon. The soundproofed rooms of Lisbon City Hotel are all accessible by elevator and feature modern furnishings. They offer individually controlled air conditioning, cable TV and a work desk.
