Itinerary

Day 1 Helsinki

Helsinki is the capital and largest city of Finland. It is in the southern part of Finland, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, by the Baltic Sea. Helsinki is Finland's capital for business, education, research, culture, and government. It has a compact downtown area with some superb museums and public buildings. Finland's main international airline hub, Helsinki-Vantaa airport is 40 minutes from the city center, with direct flights around the world. The busy Helsinki-Tallinn route takes 1.5 hour by sea and 18 minutes by helicopter.

The Holiday Inn City Center (4*) is an excellent choice of accommodations for value standard travelers. Each of the 174 rooms promises the amenities of home, with some offering bathrobes, slippers and wireless internet as well as a business corner for the working guest. Rooms take on a Scandinavian decor, with parquet flooring and clean, sleek features. Dine at the main hotel restaurant, and choose from a variety of dishes savored around the world, or venture into Scandinavian cuisine. Otherwise, visit restaurants in the area and get familiar with the many tastes of the region. Later, lounge at the lobby bar and sip on a cocktail. For relaxation, visit the sauna.

Day 2 Helsinki

A sightseeing tour gives you an excellent view of Helsinki's past and present. Live commentary by an authorized guide in English and Swedish. Guided sightseeing tour is a great way to discover the most important sights of Helsinki like: the Senate Square, Uspenski Cathedral, the Parliament Building and the Olympic Stadium. Stops are made at the Sibelius Monument and, when possible, at the Temppeliaukio Church.

Trip Terms & Conditions

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.

  • Living Standards and practices at destination may differ from those in North America with respect to provisions of utilities, services and accommodation.
