Itinerary

Day 1 Barcelona

In Barcelona, and throughout Catalonia, there are two official languages: Catalan, the language of the Catalans, and Spanish, the official language of Spain.Wherever you are in Barcelona, there's always something to see nearby around the neighbourhood or district: jewels of home-grown Catalan architecture, modernisme, and contemporary architecture, markets that are a treat for the senses, treasures of the ancient Roman and medieval city, parks where you can unwind … And the best thing of all is, you don't have to be a great explorer to find and discover all of Barcelona’s neighbourhoods. Barcelona is legendary for its nightlife, but don't venture out for dinner before 11pm, the restaurants don't really get going till midnight, and the clubs start hopping from the wee hours till dawn.

Meet your driver for a private airport transfer upon your arrival in Barcelona. Bienvenidos!

A welcome package with your vouchers, a city map, train tickets (if relevant) and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip.

Upon your arrival, you will receive a special Welcome Gift along with your Welcome Package. Enjoy your time in Spain!

The Gothic Quarter is Barcelona's historical and political centre. Explore the gothic quarter by foot with a Professional English speaking Guide where you will discover not only its streets, squares and hidden corners but the charms of its architecture. The tour commences with the Roman Walls and its towers dating back from the 4th century. Next up is the 15th century Casa de la Pia Almoina and The Gothic Cathedral, where you will have the opportunity to admire the impressive 15th century cloister. You will also see the Casa de l'Ardiaca, a 15th century building which was once the archdeacons residence. Admire the 17th century neoclassical Episcopal Palace and see Sant Felip Neri Square, perhaps one of the most poetic and charming corners of the city. Other stops along the way include Sant Sever church, August Temple, Lloctinent Palace, Plaza del Rey, Santa Agata Chapel, Libreteria Street and Sant Jaume Square. (Entrance to the Cathedral's Cloister, Santa Agata Chapel and Augustus Temple included).

Opened in 2006 and set on a wide avenue just one kilometre from Las Ramblas’ streetlife and the Sagrada Familia Cathedral. Contemporary, air-conditioned guestrooms all include minibars, satellite television, and complimentary high-speed Internet. Guests of the Barcelona Center Hotel can relax on the hotel’s sun terrace, head for a sauna or workout at the onsite fitness centre.

Day 3 Barcelona

Barcelona has lots of faces: apart from the Gothic quarter and the modernist one, there is a contemporary city that looks to the future, another Barcelona where the most renowned architects all over the world have been challenged to build their buildings. Discover the recent patrimony of both XX and XXI centurie, starting by visiting the Pabellón Mies van der Rohe, which was initially conceived for the Universal Exhibition in 1929. Continue along Montjuïc Mountain having a look at the Olympic ring and the Sport facilities where the Olympic Games where held in 1992: the Stadium, Sant Jordi Palace by Arata

Isozaki, the Tower by Santiago Calatrava. The tour will continue with the Miro Foundation, a beautiful Mediterranean construction, inaugurated in 1976 and designed by Josep Lluís Sert. We will stop in a window of the bay to enjoy the views of the harbor and the city from the heights. Arriving to the entrance door of Barcelona’s harbor, where the World Trade Center is situated, inaugurated in 1999, a work by Li Pei’s. Following the maritime façade, arrive at the Olympic Village, a new neighborhood by the sea, which showcases masterpieces by Bohigas-Martorell-Mackay (Olympic harbour, Folch’s Chimney), Franck Gehry (hotel Arts and Golden Fish Sculpture), Álvaro Siza (Meteorology Centre), León-Ortiz (Mapfre Tower), Enric Miralles and Benedito - Mateos (The Temple of Abraham). Finally, traverse the new and modern Diagonal Mar quarter and enter the Centro Internacional de Congresos de Barcelona was built, the biggest in the South of Europe, inaugurated in 2004 and designed by Mateo & Asociados and the Forum Building by Herzog y De Meuron.
