This trip combines two of India's most famous natural parks, featuring some of the world's best tiger sightings. The first park visited is Kanha National Park, which is one of India's largest and most remote national parks, covering an area of 1945 sq km of forest and lightly wooded grasslands. An extensive network of rivers and streams supports it. This surreal location was made famous by author of Rudyard Kipling’s novel, “The Jungle Book”, where the film verison showcased the true variety of this National Parks wildlife. It's possible to make an elephant-back excursion into the park in the early morning and evening to see tigers and other wildlife. The next park visited is Bandhavgarh National Park which is an approximate 7 hour drive from Kanha. This national park covers an area of 105 sq km, in the Vindhya hills of Madhya Pradesh. There are 32 hills in the park, which feature a large natural fort in its center. Before becoming a national park in 1968, this location was the game preserve for the Maharajas of Rewa, and more importantly the location where the famed White tiger (Albino) originated. Bandhavgarh has the highest density of tigers in India leading to numerous good sightings. A forest guide must accompany all visitors into the park, for obvious safety reasons. Entry in to the park is allowed only during daylight hours. For both elephants and jeep rides the hours immediately after dawn and before sunset are best.
***Kindly note that Elephant safaris Bandhavgarh / Kanha National Park can be booked in advance (30 Days) but due to the limited availability of elephants, these can be cancelled by the forest department at the last moment due to any VIP moment arrivals in the park.***

The original kothi or homestead that comprised of the guest areas has been retained and renovated. However, the guest accommodation is all brand new. Each kutiya is accessed through private courtyards with shaded seating, traditional swings and mud floors.
