Hurghada Minisafaris depart every Wednesday and Saturday. On the safari you get a chance to really experience what the Red Sea can offer, suchas wrecks, walls, drifts, intense coral reef and peaceful night diving. There are plenty of dive sites in the Red Sea, suitable for all experience levels, from easy to advanced. The route goes either north or south. Weather conditions, the divers experience level and client requests are the factors that finally determine the route. The Northern Safari is suitable for divers who are interested in both wreck and reef diving. North we find among others, the famous wreck of Thistlegorm, Rosalie Muller and the wrecks of Abu Nuhas. Enjoy hotel stays on both the front and back end of this tour to account for the required 24 hour decompression period.

Day 1
Hurghada The beaches of Hurghada stretch for about 40 km along the seashore. El Gouna is an artificially-created and privately owned luxury hotel town, about 25 km north of Hurghada. Beautifully designed with several islands separated by channels and connected by bridges, the hotels and marinas feature private beaches and an exclusive boutique village. It is an international center for aquatic sports and snorkeling and diving. Airport transfer with private vehicle, driver, and English-speaking guide. Considered one of the top hotels in Egypt, the Sheraton Miramar Resort El Gouna is seated on nine islands of plush gardens and foliage, neatly placed in the village of El Gouna near Hurghada. With 338 deluxe rooms, the hotel is the first choice of many travelers looking to unwind and enjoy the idyllic décor of Arabic and Egypt’s Nubian styles. Traverse small bridges and narrow garden paths when making your way about the numerous facilities at the hotel. These include restaurants with continental options and regional choices, while also offering live entertainment to guests. A private beach and infinite activities allows for the best of all worlds of relaxation and amusement. Overnight at Sheraton Miramar El Gouna. |

Day 2
Hurghada Avail of a complimentary transfer between your hotel and the port. Early this morning, depart from Magawish Jetty for day of diving. After a check dive at Umm Qamar, you will be brought to the ship-wreck of Abu Nuhas for some exploration, where you will enjoy two dives. Umm Qamar, or Mother of the Moon in Arabic, is located in the southern end of a huge, isolated reef. This southeast side is ideal for scuba-diving because it is more sheltered from winds and waves then other areas of this beautiful reef. The steep sloping wall drops down well beyond 35 m /115 m and features several cave lets and caves. One of the caves on the wall, situated about halfway along the island’s east coast, is completely crammed with glass-fish. The reefs isolation attracts a lot of big pelagic fish and the usual multi-coloured reef fishes which live here as well. Sharks, jacks, trumpet fish and barracuda are frequently seen off the Umm Qamar reef. In the Shadwan Channel, just off the north Coast of Shadwan Island (the Egyptian Red Sea's largest island), north of Hurghada, lies Shaab Abu Nuhas Reef. This submerged reef has brought passing ships more than a fair share of bad luck. There are 5 cargo shipwrecks now lying off its northern slopes so if you enjoy wreck dives then this part of the Red Sea is for you! You will drop anchor and overnight at the Dolphin House, with the possibility of a night dive. Enjoy time at sea as you relax on board one of two medium sized vessels. Depending on numbers, you will either be accommodated on board the Colona V (which sleeps 8 passengers in 4 double cabins, sharing 2 bathrooms), or the Francesca (which sleeps 14 passengers in 7 double cabins). Please note that there is no generator on board and no air-conditioning. Overnight at Colona V/Francesca . |

Day 3
Hurghada Today you will depart early in the morning from Dolphin House, and head to the famous wreck of Thistlegorm, where you can spend the whole day doing 2 - 3 dives and lounging on deck. This British vessel is 131 metres in length. It was attacked from the air and sunk in 1941 whilst carrying a cargo of war supplies: rifles, motor bikes, train carriages, trucks. Currents can be strong, and in different directions at the surface and at the wreck-site. This is a fantastic dive, which has been voted one of the Top Ten Dives in the World. You will overnight at Bluff-point, a beautiful reef with fine corals and a small ship-wreck. This dive can take place at night depending on the weather. Overnight at Colona V/Francesca . |

Day 4
Hurghada Start your morning with a dive at Bluff point, and see how the marine life round the reef is slowly awakening. ‘Bluff Point’ draws its name from the turbulence created by strong currents that beat the eastern most wall of the island. Huge fan corals cover an impressive drop off with caves and glass fish. Sightings of turtles and napoleon fish are not uncommon. An unknown wreck lies on the reef 300m north of the lighthouse, starting at 5m depth and sloping to 25m. Rumour has it that this is the wreck of an Egyptian patrol boat sunk in the 6 day war. The second dive for the day is on Shab´brur - a sort of encyclopaedia of the Red Sea with a dense population of reef species and pelagics crowds this relatively small reef. The safari ends with a dive on one of the most beautiful reefs of Giftun national park, which is a spectacular site especially for technical divers. The sheer walls, caves, and canyons are a great playground for the experienced diver with a profusion of giant fans, black corals, and big aquatic game including whale sharks, barracudas, and oceanic white tip sharks. Avail of a complimentary transfer between the port and your hotel. Considered one of the top hotels in Egypt, the Sheraton Miramar Resort El Gouna is seated on nine islands of plush gardens and foliage, neatly placed in the village of El Gouna near Hurghada.
