Itinerary

Day 1 Athens

Athens, the capital of Greece is named after Athena, the goddess of wisdom, who, according to legend, won the city after defeating Poseidon in a duel. The goddess' victory was celebrated by the construction of a temple on the Acropolis, the site of the city's earliest settlement in Attica. As a city state, the coastal capital of Athens reached its heyday in the fifth century BC as a centre for the arts, learning and philosophy, home of Plato’s Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum. Athens is also the birthplace of Socrates, Pericles, Sophocles and its many other prominent philosophers, writers and politicians of the ancient world. Nowadays, the city retains a vast variety of Roman and Byzantine monuments, as well as a smaller number of remaining Ottoman monuments projecting the city's long history across the centuries.

The Royal Olympic Palace (5*) in Athens features an impressive architecture and design, and is situated right in front of the Temple of Zeus, just a few steps from the Acropolis, the Plaka (Old Town) and the shopping district. The wonderful mirrored facade beautifully reflects the ancient ruins, while the elegant entrance, with its statues and paintings, offers guests a warm and hearty welcome. The hotel features functional banqueting rooms, as well as two bars and two restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, sauna and hairdresser. The Royal Olympic Hotel also provides complimentary Wi-Fi Internet connection throughout the property, a jewelery and souvenir shop.

Day 3 Greek Cyclades Yacht Charter

Set sail on a luxurious private yacht charter of the most popular islands in the Aegean Sea; the Greek Cyclades. See the world-renowned beaches of Mykonos, the impressive caldera of Santorini, and sail around any of the more than 200 remaining Cycladic islands, some buzzing with modern inhabitants, and others more secluded and naturally vivid. This region offers new discoveries around every turn, and your private yacht charter will bring you there.

Enjoy a private port transfer in Athens with private vehicle and driver.

Welcome aboard! Meet your yacht's crew and take some time to get settled into your cabin as you'll be setting sail shortly.

Sifnos is an island municipality in the Greek Cyclades, originally inhabited as far back as 4000 BCE. The main town, near the center, is known as Apollonia, home of the island's folklore museum. The village of Kastro, built on top of a high cliff on the island's northwestern shore on the site of the ancient city of Siphnos, today has extensive medieval remains and is the location of the island's archeological museum. The port settlement, on the west coast of the island is known as Kamares, and sits on the magnificent Bay of Kamares.

The M/Y Alexandros II is a Greek luxury yacht with a sporty and vibrant appearance, and a cruising speed of 28 knots. The vessel is available for exclusive charters, and can accommodate up to 8 guests total in one master cabin, one V.I.P cabin and two twin cabins. Cruise the Mediterranean in a vessel more easily maneuvered to explore the beautiful coastlines than large cruiseliners.

Many Greek and a few international celebrities have summer residences in Mykonos and can often be spotted having dinner at a small street-side table of an expensive restaurant or in a cozy taverna. Kythnos is a Greek island and municipality in the Western Cyclades between Kea and Serifos. It has more than 70 beaches, many of which are still inaccessible by road. The island has two significant settlements, the village of Messaria or Kythnos, known locally as Hora, and the village of Driopis or Driopida, also known as Horio. Both villages are notable for their winding and often stepped streets, too narrow for vehicular traffic. The villages are very picturesque but in different architectural styles. On the northeast end of the island lies Loutra, a village famous for its thermal springs, which are said to have curative properties. Besides its numerous beaches and picturesque villages, it also is the site of one of the largest caves in Greece, Katafiki Cave in Dryopida.
