Asia has a total of thirty-two rivers which exceed 1,000 miles in length. The longest, by a considerable margin, is the Yangtze River in China, followed by the Yellow River, also in China. Mainland China and Indochina are both intersected by the Mekong, the continent's third longest river. The largest Asian river that does not run through China is the Lena River in Russia.
