Itinerary

Day 1 San Juan

San Juan is the capital and largest municipality in Puerto Rico. San Juan was founded by Spanish colonists in 1521, who called it Ciudad de Puerto Rico ("Rich Port City"). Puerto Rico's capital is the second oldest European-established city in the Americas. Several historical buildings are located in San Juan; among the most notable are the city's former defensive forts, Fort San Felipe del Morro and Fort San Cristobál, and La Fortaleza, the oldest executive mansion in continuous use in the Americas. Today, San Juan serves as one of Puerto Rico's most important seaports, and is the island's manufacturing, financial, cultural, and tourism center.

Airport transfer with private vehicle/driver.

The Caribe Hilton is set on an exclusive peninsula, made up of 17 acres of lush tropical gardens, just 15 minutes from Luis Muñoz International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This resort is ideally situated between the historic old San Juan and the exciting Condado area, offering a secluded beach, lavish accommodations and amenities tailored to families, couples and business travelers alike.

Day 2 San Juan

Meet your private driver at your hotel for a half-day tour where you will enter the beautifully manicured grounds of the Bacardí Rum Distillery, the world’s largest distiller of natural spirits. You'll visit a replica of an old distillery, and an office with original documentation, family portraits, and a collection of rum bottles among other items. You'll have a chance to smell the products at various stages in the rum-making process, as well as a demonstration on how to prepare different drinks. You'll also be treated to complimentary rum drinks. From Bacardi the tour continues through portions of new San Juan and on into the beautiful centuries old city of the original San Juan, actually an island connected by bridges to mainland Puerto Rico. You will drive past Fort San Gerónimo and on into Old San Juan, one of the most beautiful old cities in the New World. Your first stop is for a short visit to Fort San Cristobal, from which the Spanish successfully defended their city from British and Dutch attacks. You’ll see the beautiful 17th century Spanish ironwork on the restored homes and note the blue-black glazed cobblestones that were brought to San Juan as ballast for the Spanish galleons, and were used to line the narrow streets of the Old City. You'll be able to explore the cafes, shops and boutiques of the city. Return transfer included.

Overnight at Caribe Hilton.

Sail the tropical waters of the southeastern Caribbean Sea aboard a luxurious cruiseliner. Your enjoyable onboard experience will be complimented with calls-to-port at magnificent beaches, and hotspots of Caribbean culture, including various flavours of colonial influence. Let the sun and sand be your guide to a magnificent South Caribbean cruise vaction.

Port transfer with private vehicle/driver.

Welcome aboard! Take some time to get settled in to your stateroom, and explore the facilities of your cruiseliner. Tonight's welcome dinner will offer an opportunity to meet some of your fellow cruisemates.

Port charges are included in your itinerary pricing.

Brilliance of the Seas is a beautiful Radiance-class ship combining sleek swiftness, panoramic vistas, and wide-open spaces. With acres of glass enclosing the nine-story central atrium, elevators facing the sea, and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, you'll never be at a loss for an incredible view. Bask at the tranquil Solarium pool, recharge at Vitality Spa, or reach new heights on the signature rock-climbing wall. When the sun goes down, the night heats up with Broadway-style shows, Casino Royale, plus 16 bars and lounges that never feature a cover. It's the amazing vacation you've been searching for.

Day 4 Southern Caribbean Cruise

Tortola, the largest of the British Virgin Islands, is the most developed, however, it remains charmingly reminiscent of the West Indies' past: a quiet, colonial atmosphere. Powdery white-sand beaches, lush green mountains, and a sheltered yacht-filled harbor characterize the island of Tortola, where the past of the West Indies meets the present of the BVI.

Philipsburg is the main town on the Dutch side of the island of Sint Maarten, on a narrow stretch of land between Great Bay and the Great Salt Pond. It is also the capital of all of Sint Maarten and functions as the island's commercial center. Philipsburg was founded in 1763 by John Philips, a Scottish captain in the Dutch navy, and soon became a bustling centre of international trade. Two historic forts bear witness to Philipsburg's strategic importance in St. Maarten's history: Fort Amsterdam and Fort Willem.

Day 6 Southern Caribbean Cruise

Basseterre is the capital of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies. Its port is located on the south western coast of Saint Kitts Island, and it is one of the chief commercial depots of the Leeward Islands. Set before the dramatic backdrop of St. Kitts' lush green hills, Basseterre today retains much of the elegant Georgian character of Nelson's days. The city has 2 centres, at The Circus, which is geared towards tourism purposes, and the Independence Square, which contains the cathedral, courthouse and most of the older buildings.

Pointe-à-Pitre is the largest city of Guadeloupe, an overseas region of France located in the Lesser Antilles. The history of Pointe-à-Pitre is marked by many disasters: the fires of 1850, 1871, and 1931, the earthquakes of 1851 and 1897, and the hurricanes of 1865 and 1928.  Despite this, some colonnial buildings still remain in the city, and its ideal location and large sheltered port have nonetheless allowed Pointe-à-Pitre to become Guadeloupe's largest city and economic capital.

The city of Bridgetown is the capital and largest city of Barbados. The Bridgetown Port (or "Deep Water Harbour" as its also known) is the major port of entry for cruises that sail all over the Caribbean. The present day location of the city was established by English settlers in 1628 following a prior settlement at St. James Town. Bridgetown is a major West Indies tourist destination, and in 2011, Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison were added as a World Heritage Site of UNESCO.
