Day 1
Singapore Singapore is the East's great melting pot, a cultural potpourri that leaves the unsuspecting visitor dazzled. Sir Stamford Raffles, a British civil servant, brought the ‘Lion City’ to world prominence after searching for a trading station to counter the Dutch influence in the Straits of Malacca, and trade has remained the island’s mainstay. The best way to experience the remarkable diversity of the city is on foot: the traditional architecture, customs and cuisine of the various ethnic areas are in fascinating contrast to the lavish luxury shopping arcades of Orchard Road and Raffles City. Buddhist and Hindu temples, mosques and Anglican and Catholic cathedrals are all likely to be encountered during a comparatively brief walk around some of the central areas of Singapore. St Andrew’s Cathedral, the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, the Al-Abrar Mosque, the vast and florid Kong Meng Sang Phor Kark See Temple Complex, the Chettiar Hindu Temple and the Sri Mariamman Temple are only a few of these. A private vehicle with driver will pick you up and provide a transfer between the hotel and Airport. Transformed into a 400-room luxury hotel, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore (5*) is a masterpiece of understated elegance and comfort. Successfully blending rich heritage with contemporary style, this award-winning Singapore five-star hotel provides an exceptional setting for business and leisure travelers. Travel the city with the unique Rolls Royce limousine service. Delight in the state-of-the-art fitness center – open 24-hours for your convenience. Lounge by the chic outdoor infinite-edge pool. Enjoy the close proximity to the city’s main shopping belt. Take pleasure in the exclusive amenities and features of this captivating Singapore luxury hotel – embodying a strategic location in the heart of the financial and arts districts. Overnight at Fullerton Hotel (5*). |

Day 2
Singapore Singapore was part of British Malaysia for many centuries. It was ruled by the Sultanate of Johor before the British came to the Island and set up a port and colony in 1819. After World War II, Singapore became an independent nation and republic, which it remains today. Today Singapore has a diverse populace of nearly 5 million people or more which is made up of Chinese, Malays, Indians, Caucasians and Eurasians (plus other mixed groups) and Asians of different origins, which is in line with the nation’s history as a crossroads for various ethnic and racial groups. Experience the various cultures come alive before your very eyes as you explore the nooks and crannies of each ethnic heritage enclave by turns. At Kampong Glam, admire the quiet majesty of the Sultan’s Mosque with its unmistakable golden dome, explore colourful food eateries, and browse through old-fashioned shops selling batiks, carpets, rattan basket-ware and exotic perfumes. Travel to the heart of Chinatown and experience the old and the new, tradition and modernity in the rows of streets and traditional shophouses lovingly restored into tempting eateries, teahouses and shops selling Oriental arts, crafts and souvenirs as well as traditional Chinese medicinal herbs. Little India completes the cultural kaleidoscope with its bustling streets showcasing aromatic and exotic spices, colourful flower-garland shops, vegetable vendors and busy curry houses. As dusk falls over the tropical rainforest, the animals come alive at the world’s first open concept nocturnal zoo. Experience the thrill of exploring the jungle as you get up close with the animals, from fierce predators to timid forest dwellers, in their natural habitat enhanced by subtle moonglow lighting. Get set for a spectacular evening of adventure – at Singapore’s No. 1 Night Spot! Begin your journey with a tram ride from Himalayas to Africa, up close with the animals. The guided tram leads you through 8 geographic regions designed after the habitats of the African savannah, Himalayan foothills and jungles of South East Asia. Be enthralled by the animals from the comfort of the tram, or alight and explore the walking trails for closer views of smaller creatures. Your visit to the Night Safari isn’t complete without catching the fascinating and entertaining shows featuring all-star cast of nocturnal animals. Also, don’t miss the chance to pose close-up with a Serval, Owl or Snake at the Animal Photography sessions. Overnight at Fullerton Hotel (5*). |
