Day 1
Siem Reap Siem Reap is famous for the magnificent temples at Angkor. This ancient and astounding temple complex is what remains of the capital of the once mighty Khmer civilization. Angkor Wat itself, built AD 879-1191 to honor the Hindu god Vishnu, is often hailed as one of the most extraordinary architectural creations ever built, with its intricate bas reliefs, strange acoustics and magnificent soaring towers. Airport transfer with private vehicle, driver, and English speaking guide. Note: departure tax leaving Siem Reap is not included in the tour price (USD$25 per person). Day 2
Siem Reap Meet your private guide at your hotel and set off for a day of memorable Cambodian sightseeing. Visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the Bayon temple complex, as well as Takeo and Ta Prohm temples. The walled and moated city of Angkor Thom was the last capital of the Angkorian empire. It was built to protect against invaders in the 12th century. The Bayon is a state temple, erected in the center of the city. In the afternoon enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Continue with a visit to Angkor Wat temple complex and watch the sun set on Phnom Bakheng. Travel from the South Gate of Angkor Thom to Bayon temple by elephant. Afterwards you will be transferred back to your hotel. Enjoy a 10 minute ride in a tethered Hot Air Balloon to admire the stunning view of the hidden temples. This is not private and on your day of touring you may choose the morning (6AM) time slot or go between 3pm and 4pm. Overnight at Karavansara Retreat & Residences (3*). |

Day 3
Siem Reap Today, you will get up at 4 AM to head to the temples and enjoy Sunrise at Angkor Wat, then return back to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you will transfer about half an hour outside the city to visit one of the more remote temples, Banteay Srei. After touring around this temple with your guide, you will head back towards Siem Reap, and en route you will stop for a quick visit to the Landmine Museum. This museum was opened in 1997 by Aki Ra, a former child soldier, and proceeds go toward clearing landmines across Cambodia. It is a safe and educational place to learn about the impact that these devices have had on Cambodia, and what is being done to rid the country of their threat. Transfer back to the city for lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, head to one of Siem Reap's lively local markets where you can buy small gifts to bring along on your next visit, to one of the schools for local orphaned children near Wat Bo. Play with the children, tour the facilities, sit in on a lesson, and interact with the local community here along with your guide, in an experience that is sure to offer some inspiring insight into the Khmer people. In the later afternoon transfer back to your hotel in Siem Reap. ***A portion of the tour cost will be donated to both the Landmine Museum and Orphanage, of course, further donations are welcome! Day 4
Siem Reap Today you will travel on a private cruise of Cambodias largest lake: Tonle Sap. You will be picked up at your hotel and transferred along with your guide to Phnom Krom to begin your cruise. Along the way you will stop at Chong Khneas, one of the floating villages at the edge of the lake. Your guide will point out the differing Khmer and Vietnamese floating households, clinics and schools and you will stop at the floating markets where you can view and purchase some local produce. After the tour is over you will be transferred back to your hotel. Enjoy traditional Cambodian food in a local restaurant. You will be picked up by a private vehicle and driven to a local horse ranch. A guide will take you on a horseback journey to places that are otherwise unreachable, through local countryside villages, scenic rice fields and tourist-free temple ruins. An authentic taste of the real Khmer lifestyle viewed from horseback, and a welcome break from other tourists. Overnight at Karavansara Retreat & Residences (3*). |

Day 5
Phnom Penh Phnom Penh is the capital and largest city of Cambodia. It is also the capital of the Phnom Penh municipality. It is an economic, industrial, commercial, cultural, touristy and historical center. Once known as the "Pearl of Asia" in the 1920s, the city is a significant global and domestic tourist destination. Phnom Penh is known for its traditional Khmer and French influenced architecture. Transfer by road to Siem Reap with private car and guide (approximately 5 hours). Start with a visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, two of the most striking buildings in the capital and considered as some of the finest examples of Khmer architecture. They were initially constructed in 1866 by the French. The Royal Palace is home to the current King Sihamoni. The neighbouring Silver Pagoda stands out in its own distinctive way. Also visit the impressive National Museum, and the tallest religious structure in the city, Wat Phnom. Afternoon visit to the Killing Fields. Day 6
Phnom Penh Departure from Phnom Penh to Krokar and embark on a local fishing boat to explore the floating village of Kompong Luong, probably the biggest on the Tonle Sap and mostly habited by ethnic Vietnamese. Picnic lunch in the floating village. In the early afternoon drive back to Phnom Penh. Overnight at Anise. |

Trip Terms & Conditions
- Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
- Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
- Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
- Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
