Starting in Johannesburg you'll have a private airport transfer to your hotel and overnight to rest after your long flight. The next morning you'll fly into the Kruger area and travel by road through some spectacular scenery before arriving to the Kapama Private Game Reserve. Kapama has all the Big Five African animals in abundance. Its natural environment and sweetveld ecosystem offers you the opportunity to have close encounters with all the African animals that traditionally roam this area. You'll also have a visit to The Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre where they focus on the conservation of rare, vulnerable or endangered animals. Cheetah Conservation is one of their core disciplines. You can also explore the area on the back of an elephant or by hot air balloon (optional). Next you'll spend two nights in the Timbavati Nature Reserve which shares a common unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. This park allows animals to freely roam between the two parks and ensures a great opportunity to view the greatest diversity of wildlife that Africa has to offer. Just about two hours drive from here to the exclusive Sabi Sand Game Reserve to enjoy the best Big Five game viewing in the country. Located on the east corner of the Kruger National Park, Sabi Sand is unarguably the most renowned game park in South Africa. Enjoy 3 nights, with daily game viewing included. We'll take you back to Johannesburg at the end of your trip to catch your flight home. Includes internal flights.

It is the international flight gateway for most of southern Africa.

Upon arrival you will receive all of your necessary documents for your trip which contains a detailed personalized itinerary, maps, restaurant suggestions, Top Tips for exploring each city or region and a 24 hour concierge service (for restaurant reservations, spa treatments, child minders, day tours etc).

Day 2 Kapama Private Game Reserve

Kapama is one of South Africa’s largest privately owned game reserves, perfectly positioned in the Limpopo province safari area, renowned for its high density of big game animals.

Airport transfer to/from your hotel with private vehicle

Take your flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit today. The flight duration is approximately 1 and a half hour.

At about 3.30pm everybody convenes for high tea, before departing with the same ranger/tracker team for the day's second African bush safari. Enjoy a sundowner drink along the way (not included in the tariff), and get out of the vehicle to stretch your legs and watch the sun go down over the distant Drakensberg Mountains. As darkness descends it's time to return to the safety of the Landrover and let the tracker scan the landscape with a spotlight picking out the glinting eyes of nocturnal animals. Return to the lodge at around 7pm, where there is time to freshen up before dinner.

Reminiscent of a traditional African safari camp, Kapama Buffalo Camp offers a unique and intimate experience in the African bush. It is ideal for discovering big game Africa in true safari tented style without compromising on comfort.
