Desroches Island is the largest island in the Amirantes group, Seychelles, situated 230 kilometers south west of Mahe (the largest and main Seychelles island). Day 1 Mahe

Mahé is the largest island (155 km²) of the Seychelles, lying in the north east of the nation. The population of Mahé is 80,000. It contains the capital city of Victoria and has 90% of the country's total population. The island was named after Mahé de La Bourdonnais, a governor of Mauritius. Mahé's tallest peak is Morne Seychellois at 905 m, which lies in the Morne Seychellois National Park. The northern and eastern parts of the island are home to much of the population and the international airport which opened in 1971. The southern and western parts have Baie Ternay Marine National Park and Port Launay Marine National Park.

You will meet at the airport by an english speaking representative with name sign as you exit the arrival lounge.   Be greeted with refreshing towel and mineral water, arrival gift and welcome pack containing your itinerary, a map of the Seychelles, and an excursion brochure.  Your representative will provide you with personalised assistance during your stay and fast track you through immigration.

Day 2 Desroches Island

A private island resort, on the largest island in the Amirantes group. Noted for its remote tranquility. Flights take place Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and will take approx. 1 hour, and the time of departure in Mahé is at 13.45h and at 14.30h. The time of departure on Alphonse Island is at 14.45h and at 15.30h. The baggage allowance for this flight is 15kg per person. Only Soft luggage is allowed for these flights.

Spend a day scuba diving with friendly and attentive professionals, exploring the 14 classified sites, including mysterious underwater caves and columns. Various PADI and NAUI diving courses are offered at the Dive Centre.

Activities are endless... with over 14km of unspoilt beaches and forested hinderland, Desroches is ideal for nature watching. Spend the day enjoying the island. Maybe you will get to experience an ancient tortoise colony with nesting turtles on the beach. For an even more relaxing option, enjoy senuous spa treatments or catered picnics either on the beach or under the tropical palm trees, and private sunset cruises which offer stunning views of the island from a different angle. The flood-lit tennis court is a super way to do a little exercise once the sun has set and the temperature has dropped a little or for something a little less strenuous, try a game of table tennis, pool, round of darts or work out at the gym.

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $250). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
  • Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
